What to do
So, i have a crush on this guy from my school. He's a nice guy but he's little bit younger than me (2 by year, 1 grade lower). We went to our school camp last summer and we had a blast. I kinda knew that he liked me. For my part, I was never really sure because of the age thing (i don't really care now). Then when the school started we hardly had time to actually talk or hang out. He then changed school, I was sad and all, but he then came back like 2 months ago. Ever since then things have been little weird. He's a shy guy (and i'm not really a go-getter) and i kinda think he's intimated by me. To make things worse i think i'm sending out mixed messeges. Though I try to smile and approach his always with his friends and because we have diff scheduales it's hard to catch him. The thing is, I think, there's this big gap and if we still go on without speaking to each other longer the gap will start growing and growing. i need few tips to be little bit bolder when approaching him. And is there any ideas of icebreakers when texting him (like reasons or topics without seeming senseless). Lately i been thinking about him 24/7. i think it's best if i just talk to him (or tell him i kinda like him) and be honest but we hardly meet anymore.
You definitely want to talk to him more
Even if you're texting him without much reason, if you can make him laugh I think he'll appreciate it. Do you have his e-mail? You might also try writing him an e-mail.
The advantage of an e-mail over texting is that you can write quite a bit more and be a little more serious-- and include links like, "Hey, I really want to talk to you sometime..."
You're right that it's probably best to (somewhat) directly tell him you like him the next time you get the chance. But you may have to wait a bit if you don't have enough (private) time to have that conversation.
Don't be too shy yourself about taking some "private" time with him if you need it-- if he's always with his friends, you may need to ask them (politely, of course) to leave for a few minutes from time to time.
